The Wrapping

The Core Memory Spares were sent in a small box, 50 000 Pieces, , leftover from DDR times. At that time, it was common to copy the "west" technology on a grand scale. I found this rarity in bulgaria. 



The whole family is gathered when I opened the box very slowly ...



The sponge is - as you can see very clearly - very old, but the core pieces are in good condition. The cores are packaged in a plastic bag, so they cannot get lost. 



I am the only person in my family that have ever seen a core memory, so they thought that the content was destroyed (become sand), there was'nt a core to be seen...



... but Gerhards ancillary lens on Sabines photo camera showed very quickly, the extremly small core memory pieces survived their journey.
